Team Development
If you are saying “We need team building,” or “The team isn’t quite where I want it to be,” you need a clear perspective of the issues holding your team back and a process to address them.
Depending on the issues at hand, a team development engagement might involve formalizing team expectations, or clarifying the purpose, process, or even roles and responsibilities of your team. It may require holding conversations that will resolve conflicts or build trust so team members are aligned and share ownership to achieve results. The engagement might take the form of an offsite, or team discussions over time, or skill building workshops, or a mix of these approaches and more.
To get you where you want to go, with your and your team’s input I will generate simple recommendations and a process, including dialog and skill-building, to get you there. I will then facilitate the dialog and the interpersonal skills that your team needs so you work well together to achieve your goals.
Leader Development
There are two tried-and-true approaches to leader development: programmatic and individual. If you are saying, “We need more people management/strategic thinking/prioritization/etc. skills among our managers,” then you need a programmatic approach. If you are saying, “We want specific leaders to be even more successful,” then you need coaching. Or, you need a combination of both.
I offer leadership program facilitation that integrates content with your corporate strategy and culture, and will ensure your leaders learn and practice the skills, build the peer-to-peer support network, and receive the coaching they need to be their best.
I can also provide 1:1 coaching that incorporates feedback about your leader’s style and provides meaningful, actionable feedback that leads to behavior change. Whether a leader is starting new responsibilities or seeking to add to their leadership repertoire, I can help them build trust, lead people, navigate complexity, influence others, and build alliances to be successful.
L&D and Talent Management Consulting
Sometimes you need someone to help rationalize your L&D world, to provide a curriculum architecture, or to custom design and/or facilitate employee learning programs. I have years of curriculum development and program facilitation experience to apply that will help you optimize your employee development offerings.
